The EPA’s Drinking Water Infrastructure Needs Survey and Assessment (DWUBSA) estimates that the national drinking water need over the next 20 years is $625 billion. To ensure that the public can access safe drinking water, it is necessary to allocate $420.8 billion to maintain the underground distribution and transmission pipelines.
