Drinking Water and Wastewater
Although clean water is critical to human health, it can be easy to forget all the processes required to have clean water come out of our faucets or what has to be done to render water safe again after every toilet flush. This section will discuss where water comes from in Bucks County and what considerations that need to be made for drinking water and wastewater locally.
Drinking water is either from a public water supply through an organization like a water authority whereas private water is obtained through an on-site well. Each have their own considerations.
One consideration they both share is age of the pipes and wells. Aging infrastructure is one of the larger challenges among areas of the east coast.
